Support Outset Plymouth and Finance Petition

The coalition government is looking to city start-up businesses and SMEs to help get the country back on its economic feet.

Fireproof PR started trading in May 2011, and without the help of Outset Plymouth and Finance, we wouldn't have got started! It's all very well being an expert in your profession, but starting your own business is a whole new ballgame. Outset Plymouth and Finance helped Fireproof PR to master the art of cash flow forecasts, business plans and understand the all-important difference between profit and margin!

We have heard that the future of Outset Plymouth and Finance is potentially uncertain, and we want to do everything we can to make sure we continue to get support from Outset which is a non-profit organisation. But more importantly, that future start-ups get the same support and help we got that is making such a massive difference to the Plymouth economy.

Fireproof PR is starting a supportive petition to show the City's decision makers that Plymouth needs Outset Plymouth and Finance. In just 18 months they have helped support 77 new businesses, and what's more, these businesses have created 84 jobs. That means Plymouth's dole queues are shorter -thanks to Outset Plymouth and Finance.

We the undersigned wish to support Outset Plymouth and Outset Finance for the fantastic help they give across the city in working with new and existing local businesses. We call on the European Regional Development Fund and Plymouth City Council to support Outset to continue their fantastic delivery programmes across the city. The sense of community spirit through their networking opportunities, one-to-one support they give to enterprises, work shop sessions, and great team experience is second to none. The invaluable PR and marketing guidance in promoting our companies in the first year is crucial. Don't let this support disappear – sign the petition and show your support for Outset.
